Flightglobal’s Mary Kirby reports this morning that studies are now underway at Embraer for a new narrowbody aircraft.
Embraer is talking to General Electric, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney about new-generation engines to power a potential clean-sheet airliner design under study which is larger than the E-Jet family, a top Embraer official reveals.

Bombardier (finally) launches CSeries with Lufthansa’s blessing

Bombardier has officially launched its much anticipated C-Series aircraft, as expected, at the Farnborough airshow in the UK.
It’s a bit of a let down, with only one LOI from Lufthansa and no firm commitments from Asian airlines…Entry in service is planned for 2013.
Of course, Bombardier is sticking with Montreal for final assembly of the aircraft, [...]
