G2 Solutions @ July 24, 2009 # No Comment Yet

The Memes That Killed The F-22
It would take a roomful of media scholars a month to [...]

Last of the Toucans

G2 Solutions @ July 22, 2009 # No Comment Yet

A short career indeed… The French Air Force has finally retired the last of its Embraer Tucanos.  50 aircraft had been acquired from Brazil in 1994 to replace the venerable and, some would say, irreplaceable Fouga Magisters stationed at the French Air Force Academy in Salon de Provence.

According to Bloomberg:
The Pentagons strategy for purchasing a new fleet of aerial refueling tankers may not be announced until September, spokesman Geoff Morrell said. The decision is lagging because we want to make darn sure we get it right, Morrell told reporters at a briefing today.

F-22A: Senator McCain’s speech

G2 Solutions @ July 14, 2009 # No Comment Yet

Courtesy of DoD Buzz.  Senator John McCain (R-AZ) articulates his points much better than last week’s mediocre Washington Post article.
Let me respond to arguments raised during this debate on the F-22.
Argument: 187 F-22s will not meet operational demands at an acceptable level of risk. In the view of some Air Force officials (Air Combat Command [...]
